Adriaan Bekman – The Horizontal Leadership Book

Brief overview

Adriaan Bekman’s The Horizontal Leadership Book outlines a new vision of leadership, proposing the integration of vertical and horizontal management models. The author explores fundamental concepts related to leadership and organizational development, clearly presenting how these ideas can be applied in the daily life of organizations. Using the metaphor of the organization as a living organism, Bekman invites readers to reflect on the importance of dialogue and open communication as key elements for transformative and effective change.

What makes the book particularly useful are the practical tools it provides, which allow readers to directly apply the principles of horizontal leadership in their own contexts. In addition, case studies and real-life examples enrich the theoretical understanding, demonstrating how leadership can be both a personal challenge and an opportunity for improvement for the entire organization to which one belongs.
