Yes, IMO Israel is there.

Ronen, Nizan, Daphne, Adriaan and Hans celebrated the start of the IMO Israel team in Cafe Buono. After a week of client activities like visiting a medical surgery hospital, a Waldorfschool, the Master Class Consultancy two-day workshop, the second Master Class one-day meeting for School Leaders, we had the first official IMO Israel team meeting. We talked about new clients, the first steps in Daphne and Nizan’s first year explorative IMO existence, the IMO International basic procedures and infrastructure, the coming April colleague meeting in Brazil, the planning of the IMO Israel team meetings in 2016.

As one of Ronen’s friends said earlier: “IMO is coming to Israel and they should know this”.

After the meeting Ronen, Hans and Adriaan went to the old Roman settlement Caesarea at the coast. Here the emperor Herodias created 50 BC Caesarea. It would become in the next 20 centuries a place of creation and of destruction: a meeting and battle point between the Jewish, Muslim and Christian impulses that have coloured this area over so many centuries.

After an excellent meal with a nice view on the blue sea we visited the kibbutz Sdot Yam where Hans spend some time as a volunteer in 1984. We walked around looking for the community centre and the little house were Hans was a guest of one of the families living there.

Old memories came back, the community eating together, the helicopters flying to the Lebanon war where at that time Ronen was placed as an Israelian soldier.

After being in the daily traffic jam, this time because of a road accident, we came home at Ronen’s place where we were hosted all week by Rachel and the three youngsters and went early to bed as the flight to Amsterdam for Adriaan was at 03.40 hours.

Another inspiring week after one-year IMO Israel; we will be back in June for the fourth week.
