Happy joined the IMO coregroup in November 2007.
Since 2005 he is a lecturer and assistant professor at the Stenden University. His main subject as advisor and researcher is International Social Business Innovation. Since 1998 Happy is a board member of the Institute of Coptic Orthodox Study and Culture. The Institute offers approximately 40 social welfare programs, where more than 2500 youngsters and more than 1000 adults are involved.
He previously worked in London as commercial manager for the Exclusive Hotels of the Forte Group. Subsequently in 1996 he joined Adecco in the Netherlands where he worked as business development manager. He then joined the Centre for International Business at Nyenrode University as research fellow and researcher in 2003.
Happy obtained his bachelors and masters from the Hotel Management School in Leeuwarden, Karlstad University and Cardiff University and his MSc from Universiteit Nyenrode. He specialised in the subject micro and small enterprises in developing countries.
