More than seven years Klaas IJkema and Adriaan Bekman have been consulting Sparkasse Mittelmosel (a community bank in Germany) in an on-going organization development process.

The first years there were seven strategic processes defined and executed that should bring this Sparkasse to a better performance. The common ambition was a healthy development and an inspiring existence for all people at work here and every client that meet the Sparkasse.

In these years this Sparkasse Mittelmosel has moved from a mediocre position to a top four ranking position in the Rheinland-Pfalz region in Germany. On all the parameters like client service, profitability, cost-ratio-balance, innovative projects and co-worker motivation they belong to the best performing Sparkasse banks.

As the conditions have become more difficult because the interest marge is moving downwards to zero, the strategy had to be enlarged by a systematic cost saving and process improving quality. The board and the leaders of all departments together designed a strategy for doing this. They have analyzed concrete opportunities to save costs and still improve the performance towards the clients.

We celebrate the joy of development together.

It is a real pleasure to be reflective partners of an on-going organization development process where leaders and employees together look for the best way and make the needful steps to remain a healthy and successful Bank.
